South County Shuttle: Updates to The LINK Transit Line

Did you know that there is a bus that runs through South Wasco County?

It’s true! The LINK is a weekly South County Shuttle to Dufur, Maupin, and Tygh Valley. It runs every Tuesday, picking up riders from Canyon Rim Manor in Maupin at 8:50AM, Maupin Market at 9:00AM, Tygh Valley General Store at 9:40AM, and WE3 Coffee and Deli in Dufur at 9:55AM. The bus then drives to The Dalles for an approximate 10:30AM arrival and a 1PM departure, allowing time for riders to complete appointments, go shopping, or run other errands. The bus then returns riders to Dufur, Tygh Valley, and Maupin.

The cost to ride roundtrip is $5 from Maupin and Tygh Valley and $3 from Dufur. The LINK is ADA accessible and can seat up to 12 riders and 2 wheelchairs, and if you’re concerned about having a seat you can call ahead to reserve a spot. Otherwise, seating is first come, first served. If you cannot make it to one of the bus stops listed, you can call ahead and request to be picked up directly from your home using the number listed below.

The LINK also offers a Deviated Fixed Route, which operates on a loop to important destinations in The Dalles Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM, which you can ride for $1.50. To view the schedule of the Deviated Fixed Route, click here.
